MikeL on U7192 Hummer H2

Post by tomp »

Mike, I have a friend deployed in Afghanistan with a 2007 H2 and I have a 2006. You previously sent me custom map for Longtubes and electric fans enabled using the base map my I had sent you. Can you please tell us if his 2007 uses the same predator maps and can he use the same custom maps you sent me (assuming he also has longtubes and electric fans)?

you can't send him your tune file to use, as it is tied to your VIN number and Calibration ID's...

Hello,
I'm the guy who's in Afghan...

Copy the previous message, no worries.

I plan to purchase the Diablo programmer in the next week, here's my questions:

1. Right now I have offered up my 07 H2 to be the test vehicle for the fitting of the new late 07 DynaTech long tube header system. If it's accepted, then I'm hoping it will go in pretty soon. I would then need a tune for a Volant cold air system, LT's and electric fans.

2. If the LT's are not ready yet, then I'd need a tune for stock exhaust (3.5"), the Volant, and set up to switch on 07 heavy duty electric fans courtesy of a Nelson Performance wiring harness to adapt the HD chevy truck parts to the 07 H2.

3. Once I start with a particuliar tune, how do we go about changing it once I make my next modification?

4. After the LT's, I plan to add L92 heads, intake w/90mm TB, and injectors, along with a mild cam (220*/.550Lift 114-116 CL, or there abouts) Would you be able to handly tunes all along the way for the various combos? How much each time?

Thanks!

The longtube and stock tunes are no problem, and can be handled by the Predator or simple email tunes.
Once you do the heads/cam, you will need to get the truck to a CMR dealer to have it tuned on the dyno for best results.

CMR is our custom tuning software like LS1edit or HPtuners.

F6, try the dealer locator at the top of the page. Dealer will be able to point you to closest CMR dealer with dyno.
