Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to make a copy of my original backup file in case the file gets screwed up on the trinity T1000. I would just feel better knowing I had a backup on my computer just in case?

Thanks

Yes. Use the DSDownloader and go to the Express Tuning. Then click Get Tune File from Tool.

Just for future reference, if you go to the Trinity Browser tab at the bottom of the DSDownlader, select Help at the top of the window, and select Help Contents, you basically have the owner's manual.

you can save a copy of it to your PC, but if something happens, doesn't really matter.. because you can not put it back into the tool as the original backup.. it would get loaded as a custom tune and would work like a regular tune, it would not be a restorable original backup stock tune...

if something happens, you'd need to get your pcm flashed back to stock by your dealer..

There really should be a way to restore back to the original with a copy from your computer. More people might buy it if that were the case because your warranty is everything.

Could a DS customer support tech not load a copy of the saved original backup to the device as the original backup?

Not with trinity, but intune can generally get anything back to stock.

Either way, we dont leave anything on the pcm thats going to be an issue at the dealer...
