Selling a used Predator?

Since my Predator (U7198 - GM02 2.12 Ver 6.01) has no logging and limited tuning paramaters I'm thinking about selling it. I've gone from mild tuning needs to a bigger (232/234 .600"/.600" 112lsa) cam and stage II 60cc heads so I really need a more flexable logging and tuning platform.

My maunal says if I return the PCM to the factory tune the Predator can be re-locked to a new VIN. Is this true?

I don't have the receipt for this one. I have the receipt for the first one I bought, but it was stolen along with my car. Got the car replaced and then bought another Predator from someone on LS1tech. When I did the head and cam swap a few weeks ago I went ahead and locked it to my VIN thinking I could use it for email tunes.

The Predator can be used to import and export tunes still so if you wanted to get a custom tune from one of your dealers, you can put it into the Predator.

Restoring the original backup to the vehicle will reset the tool so that it can be used an another vehicle.

Thanks, if I buy a full version of another tuning software I will not need it. It does read and reset my 03 Suburban DTCs though. I wonder if it will tune it once I unlock it? I know it says 99-02

Well I found someone to help with some tuning so I may keep it.
