intune dcx i1000 stuck in recovery mode

Hi,
I have had this excellent device for 8 months now and was running on tunes made by hemifever. now that I wanted to take my 2014 RAM to the dealer for regular service, i wanted to restore the tunes back to normal so my warranty remains valid.
while restoring to default the device got stuck and I had to unplug it. on second attempt, it said "intune is in recovery mode. continue?". when i click yes, it says "the last tune failed to install. the original backup will now be restored to the vehicle". I click on the check mark, and it freezes while preparing to load stage 1. the rotating circle stops.
when i connect to the laptop, it gives me the same messages above, and then it recognizes that it is not connected to any vehicle.
after clicking no, it asks me then to wait. "Do not unplug! updates loaded to intune. it will reboot automatically. this process may take several lminutes. please be patient.
I need help online. a phone call and sending the device back from the Middle East, is too expensive.
Thanks,
