Dyno mode please?
Dyno mode please?
Hey I'm a 2012 Charger owner with v6/8 speed combo, and I tell ya this thing will not hold a gear on the dyno. Aside from being able to reset tcm adaptives (an update broke that feature two years ago), changing tire parameters (update broke that as well), or changing the axel ratio/gearing (update broke that feature too), it would be nice to at least get a dyno mode to hold 6th gear or just any gear. Meanwhile waiting years for fixes hasnt been easy while not having tcm adjustment, yet watching new vehicles get prioritized over fixing bugs with already supported platforms everytime. I submitted a bug report two years ago and even started a thread about these issues back then. Does Diablosport watch these threads and bug reports? Do you guys ever follow through with a fix when you state "we're looking into this problem"?
Re: Dyno mode please?
I guess I'd better prepare for no more responses, on the bright side though I guess thats better than the canned responses. Maybe DS should implement a paid support forum section so I could ya know, pay extra for a custom response. It would fall perfectly inline with Diablosport's current model and we could have bugs fixed.

Re: Dyno mode please?
when you use the tool to disable TC, that is what Chrysler calls Dyno Mode, there is no means for holding a gear currently unfortunately.

Re: Dyno mode please?
I understand and thank you. The necessity of this feature has led me to search for alternatives, and so far I've found the Tazer, made by the same company as the Tranzformer.
Still waiting for the bugfixes though for tire size parameter, axel ratio\ gear change parameter, and tcm adaptation reset. So any update on that?
By the way thank you guys so much for clearing the fan speed clutter and using Target ECT instead. The truth is I got some awesome peak numbers on the dyno, like factory '06-'10 5.7l Hemi numbers(277rwhp/282rwtq), from an unboosted v6 with no spray, but I can see on the charts that 2.65:1 is holding me way back, and I'd like to move up to 3.23:1-3.73-1 rear diff gearing. I cannot do that without my tuning device working properly and supporting the features it's supposed to.

Re: Dyno mode please?
Well, is this an 8 sped auto?
The good news there it seems is that they dont care about gear ratio, so changing gears should not require any inoput for the pcm/tcm as it reads the signal after the differential, like Rams and 07-11 JKs.
Tire size will get sorted out.

Yes it's an 8 speed. That is sweet news then. Am I correct that it uses wheel speed sensors to calibrate the speedo? If what you say is true, what effect does this have on shift rpms? Thank you.mikel wrote:Well, is this an 8 sped auto?

Re: Dyno mode please?
it means shifting will always be right unless tire size is changed, and then will be corrected once that is calibrated.
