I am having a stumble at the first cold start of the day on my truck (2008 Silverado w/ 5.3L) and I am going to return the truck to stock just to rule that out. I am currently running the Modified Stock tune with just AFM disabled. I've been running it that way for about 10 months or so.
After I take the truck back to stock, do I need to connect the intune to my computer and have it update and then reinstall the Modified Stock tune w/ AFM disabled? I don't think that would be causing the issue but if it is, is there a fix?
Also, what is the latest GM update and how to I check my intune to see which one it has without it automatically updating? Can I also use the intune at startup and use the logging option and see if it shows anything?
Tuning back to stock, update before reinstalling?

the modified stock tune will have no benefit, even with the AFM turned off. You should be selecting the tune that matches the octane gas in the vehicle. This will give you a balance of performance and fuel mileage. If you continue to have an issue with the vehicle and how it performs let us know.

I have to disagree with that. When I turned just AFM off I actually picked up about 1 - 1.5 mpg on stock tires but lost it again when I put on a one size larger tire. I am still running 87 which is what is recommend from factory and I have not changed the factory tune except for tuning AFM off. I wasn't looking to pick up performance at the time and wanted AFM off because I was having trouble with a the Range AFM Delete.
I wanted to know what the latest GM update is and when I return the truck back to stock this weekend if I need to connect the intune to my computer and have it update before reinstalling the tune (whether that's the modified stock tune or the 87 canned tune).

current gm tune is 1r02l, and if you run the auto updater it will download any updates needed.
Thanks
