And this Canadian is waiting for some 2015 Ram 1500 trans tuning for the 8 speed! Supercharger is on and making power but the torque management makes it feel like I'm power shifting my 4 speed Roadrunner with the park brake on. Do I need to make a 4000 mile road trip so you can borrow my truck for a few days??

Don't bother. The ZF 8 speed is locked up tight. The German tuners have been trying to get into it for 5 years. You aren't changing the shifting electronically. Only way anybody is don't anything with it is internally.

Ok, Thanks. I guess this is the last new Dodge I buy. It's been a good run.

Or even better...can you hook me up with who is doing the internal mods?? Currently the trans sucks anyways so it doesn't matter if I break the POS. Also, is anyone offering something to swap in the 6 speed?

I'll trash the entire wiring harness if I have to.

Nobody is doing anything with it yet. There are a few people who are trying to get Transgo to make a shift kit for it, but they seem very reluctant. We're hoping that now that the Hellcats have it they may be more willing.
I'm trying to get some details from ZF to see if it can be piggyback tuned, but I'm not even sure if thats possible yet.

we'll be tuning the 8 soeeds eventually
EGS53 support will happen first, then on to the 8 speeds.

You got into it? There are a dozen German tuners that would like to know how.

Oh, Chrysler is using a separate computer for it. Thats the difference. Both Germans (and Jaguar/Land Rover) have it all built into the DME. They have the main computer partitioned and everything is in there on the different partitions.

Thanks guys. Spent my day yesterday going through the technical info on these trannys and was pretty surprised to see the TCM is part of the valve body itself. Couldn't find anything beyond that. Started researching doing all sorts of stuff from looking for a wrecked 2014 to installing a Tremec. Anyways, happy to hear you're on it.
And Mikel,
Since the supercharger is already on my truck, let me know if you need a mule for the trans tuning. I'll make the journey.

I have a 2015 Ram Power Wagon and I'm located in Jacksonville, FL. Please feel free to send me a PM if Diablosport could use it, and the costs associated with the process. I don't mind the drive for a good cause. The 66rfe is ridiculously lazy in this truck. Thanks!
