T1000 Not Charging

Post by rogermacias »

Hi All,

Just received a Diablo T1000 as a gift. Super stoked as I have been wanting to get one for over a year. I plan to tune my 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T that has a few small mods. So I plugged into my laptop with the supplied USB and updated it first. Afterwards I was messing around with the options and the tuner screen will say " Battery is below 11.0V. Please, charge battery" when I hold down the small black circle button on the "keypad". So I left it plugged into my laptop via the USB for a couple hours assuming it would be charging, but once I unplugged it the screen went black and it turned off. I plugged it back in and it powered right back up. I then used the USB and connected it to a cube to plug into my wall outlet. I left it plugged in for almost 24 hours and when I got home today and unplugged it, same thing it just died! Sucks as I was expecting it to be charged and I am excited to plug it in and tune my challenger. I pretty tech savvy, but maybe I am just missing something. There is no charging bar, like on an iPhone, to tell if it's even charging, 1/2 charged, etc.

Could I also plug the Tuner into the USB charger in my car for now, so the power stays on, then I can install the tune?

Can anyone help me??!!

Thanks! - Roger

Thanks. Yeah I figured out later just to plug it in the car and it goes on, I found it weird that it would have to be charged. I tuned it to the 91 CAI tune and I see some instant improvement. Any suggestions on anything else I can tweak on the modify options for the tune? I have an 09 Challenger R/T, CAI, Shorty Headers, Flowmasters and a 180 thermostat.
