So first a brief history. Car has been driving fine for weeks until today when I had it out and got a 'check engine light'. Not a big deal so I hook up the Trinity and instead of the main menu I get the message "The last tune did not finish, The original will be restored". Well I was at the store and thought...oh no it won't. At least not now!
Get home and I let the Trinity restore the original tune. Then I go to Performance and I notice that there are NO custom tunes in the tool anymore. SO now I have to 'marry' the tool to the car again, connect the laptop to the tool and import the custom tunes, and then upload the custom tunes to the car. And all that went ok. Car starts and runs fine with no codes.
My question is, what could have happened here?

OK, answered one of my own questions. Did not realize that when you restore the Original Backup it will wipe the tool's memory of the custom
tune(s) and the Custom Tune will have to be uploaded onto the unit again.
