New to Tuning
I just ordered a I1000 InTune Tuner, it will be at my house on 8/31. I currently have JDB Shorty Headers as well as a K&N CAI on the car. I always run 93 octane fuel and plan on installing the 93 octane tune. My question is will I throw a CEL once I put the tune on the car due to the upgrades? Will I need a custome tune on the tuner due to the upgrades? Thanks for any info. My car is a 2010 Camaro SS LS3.
Re: New to Tuning
shorty's should not trigger a code.. if you don't have a code now, you won't have one after installing a tune either.. unless you removed the cats or installed high-flow cats.
that being said, you would benefit from a custom tune for those mods, so things can get dialed in correctly.. fueling, timing, etc..
can get custom tuning at www.diablewtune.com - and can contact me directly at: diablo DOT help AT gmail DOT com

Re: New to Tuning
06MonteSS thanks for the info, the tuner arrived at my house today and once I finish up a break job I will install the tuner and see how things go. One item i failed to mention in my post was that I also have the GM Performance Axelback exhaust, so hope that doe not cause any issues. I do plan on getting a custom tune with Diablewtune once the tuner is up and running, thanks for the info as I'm so new to the tuner I have a lot to learn.06MonteSS wrote:shorty's should not trigger a code.. if you don't have a code now, you won't have one after installing a tune either.. unless you removed the cats or installed high-flow cats.
