2015 2.0T ATS AWD Auto 91 Octane tune

Post by jpmelliott »

I'm a newbie to the Diablosport community. All of my past experience has been with a Stage 3 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo and a stage 2 2002 Corvette Z06.

The stock 2.0T is a respectable powerplant but, simply pales in comparison to my 2010 335i. Now, before I get flamed on my first post, I realize that any comparison to the turbo 6 in the 335i is unfair but, given the weight difference between the 2 cars and 5 years of engine evolution, I thought it would be closer.

Now, after uploading the conservative 91 Octane tune on my new 2015 2.0T ATS, I can say I'm blown away. The throttle tip in is now on par with the 335i. That is a major feat and where we do 95% of our driving. Cools stuff.

As to the rest of the power curve, I can't believe that GM left so much on the table. I'm glad that I went with the 2.0T over the 3.6, just based on the flexibility of the platform, to materially transform with something as easy as a remapping of the ECU.

At any rate, the combo of the 2.0T and Diablosport is the best bang for the buck out there. Now, I just can't wait to get the updated InTune with support for my TCM. The tranny can definitely use a shift profile with a bit more conviction.

- Peace

Hi Mike,

Just checking in to see if the TCM has been updated. I've been checking with my intune periodically and it hasn't indicated that there was an update. thnx!

Hi,
I have a 2013 ATS4 2.0T, all stock, and I use 91 octane, 0% ethanol, gas. What kind of hp and torque increase can I expect with the intune? Should I expect a solid 15% increase or something less/more? I also have a 2015 Mustang GT, all stock, - same gas. What should I expect from it? Also, assuming I can use the same tuner for both vehicles?

Thanks.

the new inTune i2 can be used on both vehicles, it would cost you an additional $150 to add an additional license to it to be able to tune the 2nd vehicle...
