No ECU Detected When Datalogging Hemi Grand Cherokee

Hi,
Vehicle: 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L Limited 4x4 QuadraDrive-II
Product: inTune i-1000
Application: 1r04i
DCX Tune Db: 1r01e
DCX PID Db: 1r01b
I purchased a brand new i-1000 12 days ago and, after performing the "PCM Calibration Update" it writes tunes fairly consistently. However, when asked to datalog or scan for codes, the inTune states "No ECU Detected." My Jeep is in excellent condition and the inTune is updated to the most recent 1r04i firmware.
I have contacted technical support. However, to say the responses I have received are less than helpful is to be too generous. After admitting that Diablosport has known about the i-1000's inability to perform its advertised functions on early Hemi vehicles and flat out telling me Diablosport has no fix to make their product work as advertised, the technical support staff member suggested I give Diablosport even more money by purchasing a Trinity. I explained that the inTune is advertised to be compatible with my vehicle I asked why I should trust the Trinity would work any better. The staff member could not answer my question.
The Diablosport website advertises the inTune i-1000 as compatible with my 2005 Hemi Jeep. I have owned countless V8 mustangs and used Diablosport products on everyone of them without issue. Until recently, I have always recommended Diablosport as the tuner of choice. Before I return my i-1000 due to its inability to function as advertised and purchase a tuner from a different company, I would like to confirm that Diablosport cannot fix my inTune to work as advertised with my "Supported Vehicle."
