Updates

Post by newcombpatrick »

So I just received my i2 yesterday, and attempted to load the 93 octane tune to my 2014 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi. I updated my intune, as directed from the only available updates I could find. It appeared to have updated so I loaded the tune into my truck, which again said that it loaded just fine. After it loaded, I started my truck and tried to take a little trip around the block. As soon as I rolled out of my driveway my truck died. I restarted it, and was barely able to back it into the driveway. I reinstalled the tune, and tried again, with the same result. I'm assuming that I got an old update, but any assistance would be awesome. I used a MAC to update the intune. Lucky for me I was able to restore my truck to factory. Thanks

Luckily I barely made it out of my driveway, and I was heading to the gym before work. Had to skip my workout, but I got my truck back to the factory configuration. I sent an email to tech support, so hopefully they get back with me quick. Dropping the truck off on Tuesday for a lift kit and larger tires, and would like to have this tuner working before then.

Can you post the info.xml file from the i2 drive here please?

did you make any adjustments when you loaded the tune to the truck?

Thanks

I'm having a similar issue. 2014 Ram 1500 5.7L loaded 87 octane tune with top speed limiter removed. Vehicle starts and idles fine but when put into drive the truck dies upon hitting the accel pedal.

canyou load the tune with no speed limit adjust and see if it is the same?
If so, please grab the tune files off the i2 drive and post them here before restoring the stock tune.

So what happens when the tune minus the speed limiter works and that's the reason we bought the the programmer was for the speed limiter?

its not a big deal in the grand sceam of things. we might have an address wrong in the tool. if that is the case we will fix it and you will just have to do an update

which ever tune you wanted to run. 87,93, WE. leave the speed limiter stock. flash the tune in the car. then post up your last tune written and original backup off the intune drive of the tool. we can make you a custom and send it back to you and you load as a custom tune
