Hello everybody,
I just bought a Trinity for my 2007 Jeep Cherokee SRT8, it is supposed to be supported, of course the device has not been married to another car.
I just did all the updates with the computer tool and everything went fine, but when I try to connect to the vehicle, it shows error and send me to https://www.diablosport.com/calupdate which does not exist anymore.
If I check device information I get:
Part: dcx_gas
Version: v.1r13e
Saved Calid: nothing here..
Is the "Saved Calid" the issue?
Thanks in advance

connect to a pc, open dsdownloader, let it connect to the tool then click the calibration updater button and it will download the file.
one thats done go to the vehicle and load the update through the performance menu then you may load the tunes.

Hi Mike,
Did you check my post? I wrote that I just did the update before posting this. Now when I click it does nothing (although it did lots of updates the first time I clicked it).
In any case, How am I supposed to confirm that I successfully did the procedure?, anywhere in the device information?

yes sir, I read the post, and provided you with the exact procedure to accomplish the next step.
The tool is asking you to check for and update for the vehicle.
To get that file you must run DSDL and let it download the file from our server, it is not updating the tool itself.

Re: Issue with 2007 Cherokee SRT8 : Calupdate?
Yes..., but I told you I just did that, i.e. before posting here, I did the calibration update, so... after I just did that, do you mean I must do it again? even when I did it a few minutes ago?
So, it goes as this:
1) I did calibration update on the device
2) Still no success with the vehicle
3) I post here
4) You ask me to do Step #1 (again?)
I think one of these is true:
A) I am not doing the calibration update correctly. I goes fine without errors, but how do I confirm? i.e, I have version v.1r13e? does it tells something?
B) You are asking to do something that I already did!, whats the point?

Re: Issue with 2007 Cherokee SRT8 : Calupdate?
you cant do a cal update before you plug into the vehicle. You updated the tool, not the vehicles PCM.
Please, just do what I am asking, not sure why you want to argue with the person trying to help you when you are looking for help

Re: Issue with 2007 Cherokee SRT8 : Calupdate?
I am not arguing, but we have a communication issue here, because the steps you mention are exactly what I did (before you asked me to), so I just feel you ask me to do what I already did...
0) Connect to the vehicle, try performance menu, fail with calupdate error [Done]
1) Connect to a pc [Done]
2) Open dsdownloader [Done]
3) Let it connect to the tool then click the calibration updater button and it will download the file [Done!, without issues it does all the updates and load them to the Trinity device]
4) Go to the vehicle and load the update through the performance menu.
I have the issue in step 4!, it asks for the calupdate, I do understand the difference between firmware update on the Trinity and the ECU.
So again, I might not be doing the update correctly, because after (according to me) a succesful calupdate, when I connect to the vehicle it stills asks for the update. So its an infinite loop.
Or..... do I need to have the Trinity connected to the car AND to the PC at the same time? because what I did in step 1 (connect to a PC), was just disconnected the trinity from the car and take it to the PC.

No, once you load the cal update to the vehicle the device will let you select a tune to load.
Thanks

Re: Issue with 2007 Cherokee SRT8 : Calupdate?
Ok, what am I doing wrong?, I followed your steps, but I am in an infinite loop.
1) Connect to PC and do calibration update
2) Connect to the vehicle and try to load the update (it asks for calupdate)
3) I do step 1 again.
So, I may be doing something wrong, but its not clear to me "what"
