unable to download CUSTOM tune from predator

Greetings,
I am trying to adjust the LTFT of a custom tune. Prior to installing headers on the car, I returned the Predator to original tune then had it custom tuned. I do not recall if I had the new tune saved as the original backup afterward. I am pretty sure I did as I was looking for a way to save the tune in case the PCM ever got overwritten while being serviced by a dealership. That was over 8 years ago so I can't be entirely sure.

In any event, today I tried to follow the DSLogRedux directions to update LTFT.
I logged the necessary parameters using the Predator with no issues.
I used DSDownloader to 1. update the crom file from 8vXX to 9v03 and 2. get the logs down as CSV
I used DSLogRedux software to find out I need to adjust Injector Slope by -5%

I then proceeded to bang my head for a few hours until I gave up and came here.
I 1st tried to restore the backup since I read on a board that when you load a tune you get the option to "modify parameter settings". I figured I am just reloading the original tune so I should be able to adjust it. This attempt resulted in an error message along the lines of "Unable to restore Original Tune as it has been previously restored or has not been saved"

I went back to the forums and found out I should save the current tune as an "Extra Tune".
2nd attempt was partially successful as I was able to write the current tune as an "Extra Tune" on the predator but was not able to pull it down to the computer using DSDownloader. When I clicked the "Get tune" button, I got an error message stating that "original backup does not exist" and "Use Performance Tune as original backup".

Not sure what is going on here. I do not want to overwrite the tune that is currently in the car (or maybe it got overwritten already by a dealership, and that is my problem), I simply want to adjust the injector slope to get good LTFTs.

Is there a way to verify that:
1. Current tune is not stock
2. Current tune is saved as Original Backup
3. Current Tune can be modified

Sorry for the book, but I am at a complete loss and I need to pass smog by next month. Last time it was borderline.
