Help with my i-1000 -corrupted data?

Post by Z51vett »

Help...my I-1000 appears to have corrupted data. Will boot up to main screen but will not complete connection to my truck or my vette to data log or to adjust or remove tune so I can switch it to the other vehicle. Just locks up midway. Also when connecting to the PC to auto update it crashes during the upload. Also, I've tried to DS Downloader Utility and while it recognizes the device it will not connect even though I've downloaded the current drivers to my PC.
The device is currently locked to my 2013 Sierra 5.3 4WD. Here are the firmware particulars:
Application: 1r03m
everything says ok except the FORD Tune Db which it says is missing.

Couple questions/comments...1st - is there a way to force a clean reboot and install software w/o sending the unit back and w/o losing or corrupting further my original backup tune for my truck?
2- is there a way to return my truck to its original stock tune w/o use of my I-1000 in case I need to go to the dealer soon for work?
3- this sucks because I switch use between my truck/tow vehicle and my vette and now its locked on my truck and I can't reinstall my vette tune. :(
Thanks,
Steve

dsdl is not used for intune, plug it into a pc and let the intune updater run or launch it from the diablosport cd rom drive and it will update the device for you, let it do that then try again please.

Thanks. Realized that now and tried to let the intune updater run several times (at least 4). Everytime it will crash and say "failed to install group_update.itfg."

Any more suggestions? Thanks

save this to the intune drive, let it import it then run the updater again.

Thanks! I was able to upload that file and run the updater again and it all appeared to install properly on the device. I'll test it out on my truck tonight when I get home! :D
