I had a Charger and used the Trinity fine. Before selling it, I restored the tune and "un-married" it. Now I have a 2009 300C and want to tune it so first I plugged into my PC and downloaded the latest software, took about 10 minutes and appeared to have no problems, but when I connect to my car, it tells me to connect to my PC and click calibration Updater. I did this and again it took about 10 minutes and seemed fine, but no help when connected to the car.

When connected to my car, I could read the VIN and it shows "not married yet" so that should be OK. It also says:
Part: dcx_gas
Version: v.1r3f

Any ideas?

It needs to update the car. You're using an old Cal. Just do what it says. www.diablosport.com/dcx
