Hi I'm new here .i just purchased a brand new trinity 1000 and a brand new HP laptop with Windows 8.1 and am having problems with the dataviewer software 3.3 I installed .im basically trying to create a data log for my tuner we have put in a custom tune for my dodge hellcat .
So I downloaded your data viewer software and I open it and when I try and connect the trinity to the laptop it says it's aquiring information and the trinity says loading. This tool is now under remote control then basically locks up.your software says the tool did not find a connected vehicle .to attempt to look for the vehicle again:
The trinity has been married already to your software Ds downloader and my car registered
Can you please give me some help

so far that doesn't sound like any issue.. that's exactly what it's supposed to do.. you're just not using it correctly..
yes the dataviewer software puts the tool into remote control mode so it can download recorded data logs from the trinity.. or when also connected to the vehicle, it will remotely control the trinity to record data logs straight from the vehicle.
if you haven't recorded one yet, then you need to record a log with the trinity first.. or if you're going to log straight to the dataviewer, then you need to connect the trinity to your car and also to your laptop with dataviewer running, so it can read the vehicle PID's.. that's why it says no vehicle found, because you're not connected to the vehicle..
you have to connect to the vehicle to do any logging with the trinity or to setup the gauges..

Ok thanks
I will hook up the trinity to the car and the laptop to the trinity then try.i could've sworn yesterday I made two very quick data logs while the car was running with the trinity hooked up .i even saved them and named them

you can just record logs with only the trinity itself you know.. you don't have to use the dataviewer software to record logs..
you can record with using only the trinity.. then after you'd connect to your PC and use the dataviewer software to download the saved data log from the trinity to your PC..
