The manual that is supplied with this tuner sucks. There must be a better, more comprehensive manual somewhere someplace. Something like you supply Diablo certified tuning shops. Problems with install: Installed the 91 octane tuning spec, modified by changing speed limiter, rev limiter, changed tire rev's, added 3 degrees to global advance, 1.5% richer at 4-7K, timing advanced 1.5, 4-7K, set rev limter to 6700 RPM, Turned off speed limiter, global timing advaced 3 degrees/
I then installed a K&N FIPK kit. Went into re-program, system hung 1/2 through the install, displaying an hour glass for 40 minutes. No response to pushing esc buttons or anything. Unplugged the unit, tried to start car, no-start to do fail-over engine mode message displayed on odometer. Re-installed factory tune--same message. Disconnected battery for 10 minutes, restarted with factory tune and got vehicle to fire. Then went in with Diablo again and installed tune from K&N FIPK, 91 octane and reset all perimeters to specs as mentioned above. Car runs like a bat of hell now!!! But not after an extreme amount of frustration. I WANT BETTER DOCUMENTATION!!! Where do I find it???? Tech support phone number info is useless during your operating hours (I can read "pat" answers from the sub-standard manual shipped with the unit my self) and I love the fact your closed on the (*(**R%E$W weekends......when in the heck do you think most of work on these cars?!?!?!?

RE: Tuning Information & Installation Problems
What detailed information are you wanting, maybe I can help.
Good point
Closed weekends ?!?! I understand even the people at Diablo need a day or two rest but how about getting a weekend crew in to hold the fort down. I'm sure the vast majority of people like myself work on their cars during the weekend and its pretty frustrating having to wait till Monday to get a response and then holding onto that information for another 5 days before you can do anything with it.
Tuning level information
I would like comprehensive information on what kind of changes are made to to the stock PCM configuration when I install the K&N FPIK 91 octane tuning level. How much timing does it add, does it enrichen the fuel ratio etc. I arbitrarily added 1.5% advance and 1.5% richer on fuel both in the 4-7K range, added 3 degrees advance to Global timing. Having that baseline information would greatly assist when making decisions on further adjustments.
The car runs great with the above configuration (05 GT, 5 spd manual), stock exhaust manifolds, Borla exhaust with high flow converters etc. I here no signs of detonation, no surging, good idle, easy starting etc. In spite of the lack of good solid tuning information available and the ridiculously simplistic, lack of information regarding the parameter adjustments, the car runs like a bat out of h e double toothpicks. pulls incredibly strong from 3500 to past redline (no more than 6200 - 6300 RPM) while banging gears.
I would like more information......it can't be that proprietary. I am sure if your competitors were interested in what your tuning levels do, they could simply buy one and extrapolate the information. I've tried Hypertec's etc., and found their tuning capabilities weak to say the least......Diablo rules....just need to provide those of with better skill sets then the average joe more information!!
thanks, tws

RE: Tuning level information
I am glad you are pleased with the tune. You can datalog and find most of the information that you are seeking. there are somewhere around 200 different perameters ( a Diablo Engineer could tell you) I have never counted when using the software so that is probably why you do not get a direct answer and can you blame them?
