hey yo....adrian

hey buddy. i just got done with my new cam install yesterday. its a 212/218 .522/.529 on a 114 LSA

i have the tuning pretty close, but it still wants to almost die if i idle it down around 600 rpm. i have it up now, around 750ish. it runs really good compared to before, of course i still dont have a wideband, so i am using the o2's mv signal to tune PE fueling. i am probably a little rich, but thats ok.

am i gonna need some custom tuning from you guys, or is there something i can do differently?

thanks.

alright... i just ordered the u7778 pc interface kit....and christy laughed at me on the phone, i told her i was gonna tell!!

soon as i get that in, i will shoot you a file and see what we can did about my idle issues. i ordered a 100 shot dry setup too, how much timing do you recommend pulling, if any?? i am gonna run a little rich for the nitrous. i think i am advanced about 12% above the performance tune initial setting, still getting 0 KR..

thanks buddy

i was figuring i would need to pull a few degrees. i think that 12% added about 2.4 degrees at WOT, i guess i will start back at stock timing and do a few nitrous runs, maybe i can slowly creep it up and watch for KR.

Hey RED, how much of a difference does that cam make? I,ve been looking @ cranes 210/218 @ .531/.531 w/ 112 LSA. I'm just concerned with my tune afterwards. The 112 LSA should be a little choppier. I'm curious to hear how well your new tune works for you with that cam. Good Luck Buddy

it feels nice! i think the dyno sheet showed around 31 rwhp increase, and 27 rwtq, it sounds a lot better and deeper. it definately pulls harder, it comes on hard around 2500 rpm, and with my stall, it makes leaving from a dig very difficult! my tires hate me.

I bet they do. LOL! 31rwhp is impressive for a mild cam. Did you replace your stock springs/pushrods? Also, is a dyno tune required for a mild cam swap?

yes, its a must to change springs, and dumb not to change pushrods also!

the predator is almost over its head with the cam change,as far as what end user capability it has, but it is doing a decent job for now. there is no doubt a dyno tune would help it a lot more!! i will never pay a CMR dealer $400 to tune my shit though, i would sell this diablo and go a different route. there is a dyno tuner near my house that tunes for $150/hr with HPtuners..... i think its $80 for the credits to tune, then the hourly fee. piss on $400 for a CMR.

we will see though, man. i am taking it to the track Friday night....the track never lies. i could care less about dyno numbers, i am interested in how much it picks up accelerating.
