I have a '99 to '03 Predator that worked great for my '00 7.3 4X4. I now have a '05 6.0 4X4 and was wondering if I could get a download for my 7170 to basically make it a 7165?

No, you will need an actual U7165 Predator to replace the U7170.
Our sales department will give you a $99 credit toward the purchase of a new tool if you trade in the old one, or you can restore the backup to the truck and sell the tool yourself.
