2013 Durango 3.6L failed to save original backup

I have been able to tune my 13 Durango 3.6L prior to this issue. I have not done anything different or installed it in another vehicle during the time it was out of the Durango.
Now when I try to tune the Durango it fails to save the original backup. It then leaves the Durango dead for about a few minutes. Even with the key out of the ignition, the dash stay illuminated with NO BUS displayed. It eventually reboots and I'm able to crank the vehicle but I'm left with numerous trouble codes. I am able to clear them and everything is back to normal. I have only attempted this twice both times with a 15 amp charger hooked up. I'm afraid if I try it anymore it will leave me without a vehicle.
Is there anything that can be done?
Thanks
Brandon

Mike, It has not been to the dealer and the tuner was last updated (1r13f) back in the first part of November. I first succesfully tuned the Durango later on into the end of november. The current version on the trinity is 1r13f.
Thanks for your reply.

I dont have a good answer. Perhaps there is an issue with the cable, or connector, do you have a different vehicle you can try it in?

Mike, I loaded the update and attempted to tune the Durango but after I hit agree on the disclaimer it freezes. Also got an out of memory message when selecting show information. I'll post a pic of that.

Mike, thanks for the update. The freezing issue is gone and I was able to save the original backup. But now it fails to tune. It tells me to turn key off, turn key on and then after thats completed it displays error unlock for reflash (-18).
