Hi I recently bought a 2000 f250 (7.3L). It came with the U7170 programmer. I returned it to the stock file so I can pass smog. I failed the visual inspection and I had to get some things corrected. Anyway I didn't want to run the stock file so I installed the 60 hp file. Everything seems good until today I went to return it back to stock and it says original backup file was never saved. Why was I able to do it before but now it's gone? I tried to install either the 85hp or 100hp file and it won't let me because it says there is already a tune on it.

Any ideas?

give us a quick call with the tool powered up in the truck and we'll get you going, just a bug with these older tools.

All I need is to have it plugged into the truck and you are able to access it? That's interesting.

What is a good time to call? I'm in CA. You guys available on Saturdays?

Also any idea if I would fail smog in CA because of a tune?
