Caliber Srt4

Post by Mikefrye »

I have a 2008 Caliber SRT4 and a diablo intune I-1000. I plugged tuner into car and it read the car but when I clicked to tune it said update on computer so then I plugged into computer and the window popped up for updates, I clicked on the update tab and it said updates would be done not to unplug it. after about an hour of doing what ever it needed to do it said that it was done. I didn't drag anything over to the file. anyways after it was done I tried again and it still said updates required... what do I need to do. frusturating

Update. Finally got it done. Cars on the diablo tune.
Pulls hard for sure but sometimes in 3rd gear I pulls then hesitates then pulls again.. Any ideas?
What plugs should I run? Just ngk 6441?

Ok.
I pulled the plugs out and there was autolite in it gapped at .42
Changed them with the ZFR6FIX-11 gapped at .30 and it was worse just went pop pop pop at full throttle.
Uninstalled diablo tune and when on stock tune again had no problems so I then installed 91 octane tune and same thing pop pop pop.
You think smaller gap would fix that?

Get a log? I'm new to this lol
Someone I was talking to told me not to use these plugs but that's what the tune was made with?

Having the same exact issue i think. When i first installed the tune pulled hard for the first day then after started to feel a hard engine pause at high RPM's and then a massive over boost. Vey bad sound and feel. Needle was at the 'S' and 'T' on the caliber boost gauge. Would really love a fix to this.. How hard it pulled that day was pretty addicting

So I tried those bkr6eix plugs at .030. Horrible ha
The. At .026 and it was actually a lot better but still there
Until I know what you mean by log I'll keep it on stock tune till you respond.
What all is changed on the diablo tune?

Boost?
Fuel?
Timing?
And how so? Is tuning increased or decreased. Etc

How come the colder plugs are suggested as well. Thanks
