just purchased the tuner. my srt8 has a b&g computer in it stage II. what are the steps two follow :1 update the firmware on the tuner. 2 work with the b&g tune.

You can't put it on top of the B&G tune. You gotta have the ECU flashed with a stock tune.

If your calid is up to date and you do not require a calibration update you can let the predator save your backup(BG tune) then choose modify stock tune option, this will let you modify your BG tune as your stock tune is your BG tune.
If it requires a calibration update you will loose the BG tune and you would need to contact BG for a new tune.

johan thanks for getting back to me. I'm a good friend of Daves here in ft. myers we are real excited too get him up and running again. How do i know if I require a calibration update ?

should I just pick up another ECU
