Can't turn Mds off

Post by hemihemi »

After selecting to turn Mds off, eco light stills shows up and when i go into menu, it shows Mds is still on. Previous suggestion was to try without adjusting throttle booster. Tried that, still Mds will not turn off.
2014 Ram 1500 5.7L V8

Please advise. Thanks.

My eco light still comes on but my MDS is definitely not working. I could hear the horrible noise when MDS would kick in and it no longer does that though the eco light still lights up. Maybe you can re enable it, listen for the horrid sound MDS makes, then disable it, do the same, and see if it is actually off. Otherwise you can simply shift your transmission to 8 manually and that keeps mds from coming on as well.

eco is not MDS, MDS is not eco.

To be blunt, eco means you are driving like a little old lady :)

All it means is you are being conservative and not using up that HEMI power ;)
