Adding Fuel ???
Mike I read in a post earlier that with the CAI tune if you run headers and hi flows you should add 5% fuel, but it did not say if this across all RPMS or just from 3k and up. Could you provide some insight on this? This was posted by johan in an earlier post
Thanks
Thanks

RE: Adding Fuel ???
I would do it in all 3 ranges, and I would double check it with a wideband if not doing a custom tune.

Best placement for 02 on Wideband..
Hello ,
What's the best placement for the o2 sensor? Would a good spot be at the collector right before the cat?
Thanks
HH

RE: ?
Sorry, you posted this on a Sunday, and we generally do not work on Sundays.
Sorry I missed it this morning.
If you have bought aftermarket headers, they should have bungs for the O2 sensors already welded in. it should be in the collector, right before the cats.

RE: ?
Do you need 2 wide band o2 sensors, one for each side? Does the programmer provide a/f ratio to provide us the results from the new o2 sensor, or do I need to go to a dyno shop?

RE: ?
You need two narrow band O2 sensors for proper PCM function.
Widebands are used to see actual A/F ratio.

RE: ?
sensor should be located in or around the collector, in the ten o'clock or two o'clock position, to avoid moisture from engine, if you are inserting a sensor for A/FR... <wideband>

I understand the need for the different O2 sensors, but that does not answer my question.mikel wrote:You need two narrow band O2 sensors for proper PCM function.

Do I need to get 2 of them, one for each side?
Will the data logging on the tuner tell me the a/f ratio so I can adjust it, or do I need to go to a dyno shop for that?

RE: Re: RE: ?
You only need one wideband, one sensor, two will not hurt but one will suffice.
The a/f pid dcx has is not an accurate measurement one modded vehicles. Cold air and exhaust will throw off that reading.

RE: Re: RE: ?
So after I purchase and install the one wideband O2 sensor in the headers before the cat, how do I measure the a/f ratio? Will the datalogging do this, or do I need to go to a dyno shop?
RE: Re: RE: ?
you install the wideband check what your A/F ratio is and adjust the fuel according to the readings you get at wot. if there is a dyno shop in your area i would recommend doing a dyno tune session.
if you only have exhaust and cai just use the canned tunes.
