i2030 "Please Wait" problem

Post by dchris8706 »

Hi folks,

2nd day with my Diablosport Intune i2030 on my 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L. Yesterday the tuner arrived and I immediately updated via PC, and tuned the vehicle without an issue. Today, I returned the vehicle to stock, drove it for a short period of time, and then plugged the tuner back in to tune. After the disclaimer screen, and upon hitting either "Tune Vehicle" or "Scan Vehicle", I am prompted to turn ignition to run, and click continue. Upon turning ignition to run and tapping continue, I get a "Please Wait" screen, and the tuner never advances (I have waited in excess of 15 minutes). After reading the forum here, it appears that others that have had this issue required Diablosport Technical Support assistance to resolve this issue. It is noteworthy that I have no aftermarket electronics in the vehicle of any kind. Can someone help me out? Additionally, is this going to be a recurring issue with this particular tuner, or my particular truck? If I decide to make a change to the tune and this occurs every 2nd or 3rd time, this will become tedious. I have attached a picture of the issue, if it is helpful.

Thanks!

David

Hey Gregory,

Thanks for the advice. I did attempt another update this evening, however when I click "Check for Update" the software tells me that the tuner is up to date. I did attempt to tune after I went through this process, however, I received the same result.

Thanks,

David

connect the tool to truck..

let it boot up to main menu screen..

turn your key to ON position..

wait 15-20 seconds..

then go to Tune Vehicle, Advanced Mode.. and select/install tune and see if that works for ya..

Good afternoon, and thanks for the tip. I went out to the truck and tried exactly as you suggested, and it is still not advancing beyond "Please Wait" after tapping "Tune Vehicle".

Thanks again!

Hi Woodrow,
You asked that I would post results, so I thought I would take the time to let you know how this issue turned out. I called today on my lunch break and spoke with a Mike with Diablosport's Technical Team (not the Mike L that was previously posting here). I told Mike my issue, and that Mike L had suggested a reset. He verified that the tuner was up to date, and then had me read off to him the hexadecimal registry values from my tuner to him, and then provided a 16 digit hexadecimal code that, at his instruction, I input into the tuner. Once this code was input into the tuner, I was able to tune the vehicle without issue. Mike was very professional and courteous, and the troubleshooting and resolution was completed in about 9 minutes. It is important to note that you should block out some time to make the phone call, as even in the middle of the day there were 5 callers in queue and my estimated hold time was 25 minutes, which was very accurate. Make sure you have plenty of time, as you don't want to be rushed when troubleshooting anyway.

All in all, my personal experience with the resolution of this issue was a positive one. I encourage you to give them a call so they can get the issue sorted out, and wish you the best.

Thanks,

David
