I can't get recent upgrades from the site?!*^%&#

I have tried it multiple times, but it won't load the upgrades, and when I try it stops, so I abort after multiple tries. The DS won't load onto my car without the upgrades? Any suggestions? I've followed the directions! Nothing works. Must I drive 90 miles to Harahan, LA or Baton Rouge, 80 miles away to get this dang thing installed?

Now, the DS tells me "This tool is now under remote control..." What the Heck does this mean?

Best bet would be to call tech support.

Are you using a USB to Serial cable, and if so did you install the drivers for the cable (off the CD that came with the cable) before you plugged the cable it?

Have you read through the Revision update instructions?
They will walk you through it step by step...

Good news; bad news. The good news is that the info on this forum, with the updated instructions-combined with 8 hours of concentrated panic-enabled me to download and install the predator off the internet. THIS IS BECAUSE MY DS PREDATOR KIT HAD NO CD!!!! The factory installation guide never even mentioned a CD, and when I plugged the DSP into my computer via serial port, I learned that the installation menu had changed from the booklet I received with the unit.
Can't Diablo Sport do better than this? No CD, and the menu was changed without the booklet being changed, or any warning of a change in menu. Whew! This was a real B_ _ _ _ _ to install.
If someone can copy me a CD for this version, 8r17, I will be happy to reimburse you. Thanks, everyone.

What did you need a CD for? I didn't get one with my Predator, nor did I need one. Did you get the USB or Serial cord from them too? Thats the only time I'd even think you'd need one.

yeah, I have no clue where you are going with this?
There is no need for any CD other that for the USB to serial driver, and it comes with the cables we provide.

JohnC asked about the CD. I called DCP and they told me I didn't need a CD because I had used the serial connection. With help from several different sites I was able to crank her up. But it would surely be nice if the company would post a detailed instruction with all the options and choices explained. Go figure....

DS Downloader come with a very thorough Help file, with shiny pictures and everything. There is a Help button right at the top of the application. There are also FAQs about the applications and about the cables right on this forum. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how to help you find this documentation easier.
