2013 Camaro SS Won't Start After Changing Parameters

Post by jchattaway12 »

So let me start by saying this is probably my fault. I first installed my Diablo tune on my Trinity back in 2013 or 2014 and had not messed with it since. Today i was messing around with the idle settings in park/neutral because i wanted to increase my idle RPM after installing a new camshaft. I added 100 rpm to the tune, saved the tune then tried to install it all while i still had my vehicle running ...my fault. As the tune was writing, the car stumbled then shut down after reaching 45%. The trinity then read there was an error installing the tune and the original backup would be restored.

The device then tried to install the original back up tune file but failed to restore the original factory tune. I unplugged the trinity, disconnected the battery, reconnected the battery and tried to start up the device again. After clicking onto performance in the menu, my Trinity says it cannot connect with my PCM and there are now no original tune files to restore to the vehicle.

My car will not start now, wont even crank over. I fear that my factory tune has been deleted, what do I do?

From what I have been reading while doing research, i will need to have my PCM reflashed with the GM oem tune on the E38 harness. Can you confirm this is correct and if you guys can do this?

yeah, this is a tough spot, they should be able to flash it and get it all back to normal, but no promises.

If you dont want to go to a dealer, fill out the return form on our site and we'll issue an rma# to send the pcm and tuner here.

What would you like me to put as the return reason, defective hardware or hardware update?

Mike I submitted the RMA form and got the automated response email back from customer service on 4/9. What should I expect next? An empty box with a return shipping label or do i wait longer for customer service to contact me with the next step?
