JUST LOADED UP THE REV. 20, 100HP. TUNE TO MY TRUCK AND I HAVE MISS AT ABOUT 2800 RPMS. THAT WILL NOT STOP UNLESS I LET OF THE PEDAL. IT DOES THIS IN EVERY GEAR. POWER IS WAY DOWN AND SMOKES OUT THE EXHAUST TO WHERE YOU CAN NOT SEE BEHIND YOU. WHEN YOU MASH DOWN ON THE PEDAL IT WILL NOT EVEN HARDLY SPIN THE TIRES ON WET PAVEMENT. FACTORY TUNE RUNS FINE NO MISS OR SMOKE, JUST WITH THE TUNE INSTALLED. THE TRUCK DID THIS WITH THE REV. 19 AND A COUPLE OF CUSTOM TUNES TOO.
SO I TOOK THE PROGRAMMER AND PUT IT ON MY BUDDYS TRUCK WITH A DIFFERENT COMPUTER NUMBER AND HIS RAN LIKE A WILD DOG. PUT BACK IN MY TRUCK AND THE SAME THING MISS REEL BAD AND NO POWER NOT MUCH MORE THAN THE FACTORY TUNE.
IS IT THIS TRUCK FACTORY TUNE THAT IS MAKING ME HAVE THESE PROBLEMS AND IF SO IS THERE A WAY TO CHANGE IT?

I have a couple questions. If any, what modifications do you have done to the truck? What is your stock boost level vs with the tune installed? Do you have any dirt/oil accumulated around the turbo piping and/or around the inter cooler piping? Have you tested any of the other tunes in the r20 revision?

TRUCK HAS THE BULLY DOG CAT BACK EXHUAST AND INTAKE. NO SIGNS OF OIL LEAKAGE ANY WHERE ON THE ENGINE OR EHAUST. MY TRUCK DOES NOT HAVE A BOOST GAUGE INSTALLED.
NOW YOU SAY HAVE I USED ANY OTHER REV. 20 100HP TUNE BECAUSE IT DID THIS ALMOST SAME THING ON ALL TUNES ON THE REV. 19 AND THE CUSTOM TUNE THAT I HAVE RECEVIED.
HOPE THIS WILL HELP.

Have you had any ICP codes in the past? Let me know how the other tunes perform in your vehicle.

I have the same calid # as treestand. On the 65hp tune i dont see any smoke. On the 100hp tune i do see some but not bad enough to call it a thick black smoke. It comes out pretty good but not that thick. The only difference is that i dont have an exhaust ran yet. If this helps any. I posted on the new revision forum for other pros and cons i have with this tune

Never had any codes issues with the programer, but I have had the U7165 for 10 months and have not got to use it due to the rev problems. I never had any problems with the factory tune giving codes. The U7160 I used it from 2003 till 2007 with only minor problems. Since upgrading to the U7165 I havent got to use it enough without problems so I dont know much about it. I dont understand how I have such problems with it when there are other F-350 6.0 users that have no problems.
Thank You

Have you ever cleaned out your egr (exhaust gas recerculator) valve? It's fairly simple if not Just need a socket set, big channel locks and brake cleaner. It's on the top of the engine so access is easy. If you've never cleaned it. It may help. Some people i have talked to have cleaned theres every second oil change or whenever they do their fuel filters. Search goolge for changing egr valve 6.0l diesel and some searchs will pull up a diagram of the engine to show you where it's at.

Put the trcuk on 65hp. and truck still has a miss about 2800rpms and up, so I put back on 100hp and the miss was real bad again. The power is still to me way low, because with the 7160 is would throw anything on the dash to the floor and now it just pull like amost stock but no saying it not there just real week. Now with the stock tune back in the truck it runs fine no miss just not the 100hp that I would like to have back. Truck is dong the exact same as the rev19. I have change the oil and secondary fuel filter at about 4000 to 4500 miles since new and the primary fuel filter every other oil change. The filters have always been clean each time. I work construction and travel across the US so I take no chance. My dad is a diesel mechanic and I have seen what a bad fuel filter will do to a truck. I think it is my truck becuase I know of six people here that run the same programmer just different cal. ID and there trucks will leave me in the dust unlike when mine ran right with U7160.
Help me thanks.
Have not cleaned the egr but I will do it tomorrow truck only has 65,000 miles, thanks for the info Batman
