u7194 2011 camaro ss?

I jus recently purchased a u7194 from a buddy of mine with a 2010 Camaro, just wanting to know if this same programmer will work on a 2011 Camaro 2ss. and need to know how to update the programmer because we tried it and said it needs an update.
