Different car, another new tuner, need some info

Post by Crazychief429 »

I've had a programmer/tuner on just about every vehicle I have owned. Same old issues. I currently have a 2014 SXT w/ the sinister super sport package (same rear end as the R/T, upgraded suspension, sport mode etc) and have recently plugged up to an i2010 and a new R2C CAI. Let me tell you, this is the first V6 ive ever owned and I'm pretty impressed with just those mods. Stock I hung with my buddy's stock 09 RT to 140 from 80. Now it would be a completely different ball game. Ok, to the issues...1. When I plug into my lap top to attempt data logging retrieval, is says something about not being able to retrieve drivers and not able to communicate w device". What's the fix? Next, I started on the lower of the tunes and work uonto see what changes, while going to 93 diablon tune it got half way through, then said "unable to write" and went into recovery mode. So here I sit after its removed the 91 back to stock, now hopefully fully programming to 93 wondering why it did this. Sometimes on OBDII start up it briefly snaps a msg saying "detecting unwritten/ defective files" or something to that effect. Last but not least, I installed an R2C CAI and was wondering from who/where could I get a tune that factors this in. Drivers issue: computer tried to repair and find problem via the net to no avail. Still no data. Tune issue: currently in process of 93, half way through stage 2 so I'm hopeful. CAI tune: Still haven't been able to find a tune in the forum or someone who will write for a 3.6(yeah, its a V6, whatever. Still dusts the 2000's pony car V8s no problem. Dodge didn't want the deal, so I didn't get the RT). Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. :crashing: :lamer: :normal:

the logs are onthe i2 drive in the logs folder, use the little folder in dataviewer to browse there to select the files and open them up ;)

You shouldn't need any big changes for the CAI as far as the tune goes, but checvk with someone like www.hemifevertuning.com for a good email tune source.
