RPM problem in Park and Neutral after tuning vehicle

Post by chaosflux »

I raised idle rpm by 400 for Park/Neutral and Drive and I noticed the engine could not maintain a steady rpm in Park/Neutral. Not only that, I also found I cannot rev the engine in neutral or park!

So I changed the Park/Neutral rpm back to stock, but I am still having this problem. The rpm varies from 500-900 rpm in park and neutral, the engine feel like it is giving out, and pressing the gas pedal does nothing. Can't rev the engine.

The problems go away with I shift to drive, but return upon shifting to park or neutral. What should I do?

I restored the factory tune and made my way back up to the 93 tune with MDS turned off and found that the culprit is raising the rev limiter in neutral. Odd imo.
