Instructions on which programs exclude others?

Post by flyntgr »

If I use the quick setup, can I use the 91 or 93 octane setting, too? I

If I want to change the temps for the fans, etc, can I do this while in the quick setup mode, or are the two mutually exclusive of one another?

If I have installed the quick setup, does this mean I can't change from 91 octane to 93 octane without losing the shift firmness, autoshift disable, etc?

Sorry to ask such dumb questions, but the manual never mentions these issues. thanks, everyone! :?:

I'll assume we are talking about a U7135 here, for a HEMI?
QA changes are seperate.
You can switch tunes while keeping the QA settings intact.

Ok, so does that mean that I can have both tunes at once? (93 octane and firm shifting)

Thanks

there is no QA ability for Ford vehicles. The quick adjust feature is strictly a hemi predator feature.

If the predator does not list a 93 ocatane firm shift program then there isnt one. It may only offer you a 91 octane firm shift program. In that case then you would add a few degrees of timing to the 91 octane firm shift program when running 93 octane fuel.

Well, the firm shifting was an example, my question is, for instance i have installed the 93 octane performance tune and then i want to reduce the idle in an x %, or set the cooling fan, will these setups being added to the 93 octane setup, or i will lose the 93 occtane and only will have i.e. the idle or the cooling fan setup?

You have to choose the tune you wish to mnodify before you make any changes.

Ok, then in summary as i have the 93 octane setup installed, i have to choose "modify tune", then choose 93 octane and then select the set up i want to modify in the 93 tune (i.e. idle %) and at the end of the day i will have installed the 93 octane tune modified just in the idle.

Thanks
