Newbie with 2015 GMC Sierra 5.3L with 3:42 axle

Post by fpdsniper »

Hello all. I'm new to this, so bare with me. I just got my tuner today. Updated it on the computer. I will be doing a custom tune once my new CAI arrives and gets installed. Until then, can someone give me suggestions on settings? Once my truck needs refueled, I'll consider going with a 91 or 93 canned tune. For now, the 87 seems to be fine, but how can I disable AFM while using the 87 tune? I didn't see the option when I tried installing it. Other than that, if someone wants to share their personal settings that they like before my custom tune, that would be great. I don't quite understand the WOT adjustments, fuel adjustments etc. quite yet. Thanks!

The AFM setting is in the adjustable parameters under DOD (displacement on demand). At least that's where it is with my InTune I1000.

yes, it's called DOD (displacement on demand) - that was GM's original name of the functionality before they then changed it to AFM
