Intune error after PCM replacment.

Post by MightyMouse »

2008 Jeep JK Wrangler with Sprintex Supercharger.

Original ECU partly failed and was replaced by a second hand unit from same year and model variant. VIN and PIN all updated as required. Vehicle starts and idles.
Intune released from original ECU before replacement.

Intune Serial No: CIGXVC6-1
Version 1t03yh
Licensed 0/1

Application: 1t03yh
DCX PID Db:1r01b(ok)
All Db's show (ok)

When the intune is connected its indicates that the calibration may need updating via a PC and wont let me program the Sprintex tune.
Attempting to use the Intune updater gives me "an error has occured(12175)" and exits.

I'm stuck.... any assistance appreciated

The last round of updates was two-stage so we will load the first stage manually. To get it up to date, please download the attached update file to your Desktop, then copy and paste the file into the INTUNE drive. It will import on its own and disappear from the drive.

Then, you can run the update software to fully complete it:

1. Go back to the “Computer” menu

2. Open the drive titled “Diablosport” (right click and “open” or “open in new )
3. Right click on “inTune” and select “Run as Administrator”

The update software will automatically download the files, and the inTune will reboot back to the main menu when it is finished.

Thank you for your prompt assistance.... the download and InTune update went exactly as you described. They are clever devices aren't they :-)

Unfortunately when I run the InTune.EXE I get an error (12175) and then a message box telling me "An error occurred checking for updates. Please verify your internet connection and try again"

I'm obviously on the Internet.... so not sure what's happening. I have disabled my Anti Virus and firewall temporarily with the same outcome.

I'll try it on another PC and Internet connection later today just in case but would like to sort this one out as its my "normal" PC.

Ok... for what its worth all good now.

For some reason the new updater wouldn't install on the intune on my "normal" PC but when i shifted to another one it eventually did.
Went through a cycle of couldn't find a driver etc and didn't quite behave as expected during the update.... but eventually all has worked out.

P.S. update idle speed option during programming causes an intune crash...... but I can live with it,

So... thanks for your assistance - Jeep running with its new PCM and Sprintex tune.
