Updating TCM - tune effect?
I have a Predator for an '05 Dodge Magnum R/T with a custom tune built on it. I would like to update my TCM/PCM software according to that TSB that was out forever ago (I have access to that with my new job) and I'm wondering if it would cause any issues with my tune or Predator of it's just plain not worth it.

Re: Updating TCM - tune effect?
Well, the custom tunes you have are calibration number specific, meaning they will not work on a vehicle with a different calibration. If you update the software of your vehicle, the calibration number will change, rendering your tunes unusable. At that point, you would need to send new copies of the vehicles stock tune to the person who created your custom tune, via email, and they can send your new tunes back for installation to the car. Leaving it alone and updating are both options that can be done. If the TSB is for safety concerns or affect you in particular, i'd say "go for it", but check with your custom tuner first to see if he has a few minutes to convert the files before you get started.
No, i don't work here.
