Hello,
I am new to the Trinity, i used to have a intune a couple years ago with my G8 GT. Sadly i have let that car go and about a year ago i purchased a 2015 Silverado 5.3L Z71. i have been running a stock tune (Mod) with the DoD turned off. i have now wanted to start playing with the idea of a custom tune. i would like to learn that also how to do this. I used to slightly mess with my G8 GT with the programing. I have downloaded the DataViewer and the DSDownloader
My Questions for you all is this:
Is there anything new when it comes to turning with the Trinity? compared to a intune
i remember having to save the data log as a excel spreadsheet and upload it to a program and it told me how to adjust it.
What parameters do i monitor for my truck/program in order to collect enough data?
is there any other programs i need to download in order to load a custom tune? i have a SD Card inserted into the tuner so i can save the data to that and just use that for transferring back and forth
thank you for all that reply with helpful context.
Jim

Re: 2015 Silverado 5.3L
the same methods and logging info applies to this tool with your new truck as it did to the G8.
Thanks

no it doesn't.. your new 2015 truck is direct injection.. so there is no injector slope you can adjust like you did on your G8.. no part-throttle fueling adjustments you can make, so no use for DSLogRedux program with your new truck..
would need a custom tune done to have the MAF sensor table re-scaled if you need part-throttle fueling adjustments made..
can check out www.diablewtune.com if you want a custom tune done for the truck...
