Outdoor temp sensor wrong

Post by RustoChango »

Hey there,

Just installed the 87 octane tune on my 2013 Ram 1500 5.7L. Runs great. Only issue is the outdoor temp sensor is way off. It's about 20°C(68°F) outside but it's reading 40°C (104°F). Any ideas on how to correct this? The part of Canada I live in never sees 40°C. Typically when it's in the sun it reads high at first but once I get on the highway it reads accurately. Since I tuned it it doesn't matter where I am or my velocity, the outdoor temp is always around 20°C higher than actual. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks,
Rusto

I noticed this in mine the other day as well, it did now correct itself.
