you can use the bullydog module, when you get the pred install it with a stacker tune, they come with a towand extreme stacker, when u get a serial to usb cord you can download other stacker tunes,or remove the bullydog and run a non stacker tune.

ok, so can i run the predator with a stack tune since i got the bully dog, and since the bully dog let me shift on the fly from stock to 60 and 90hp, can i keep the bully dog on stock and the predator on performance and switch the bully dog to any of em whenever i want to? is the bully dog working like the puck? is that the concept of it?
thanks

hey ozpall
ya u can use the bully like the puck, put the pred on a stacker tune and use the bully when u feel like it,whe u get the pred and hook it up in the options menu u will find which calid number your truck is,it should start with one of the numbers in the sticky, once you have that download the apropriate tune and go to custom tunes in the pred and your off to the races, they have stacker tunes and rkl tunes which are awsome high hp tunes and some with no timing which i use in the winter, your gonna have fun with your new toy,

thanks dave, this is what i got from bully dog today, what do you think....
"The bully dog will not work with any other competitors products. The torque dog for the Dodge Cummins has the capability of 0hp - 90hp there should be a switch. The torque dog adjust allot of variables to create the power it does. It adjust timing and injection along with others"
also do you work for diablosport? you should as i see on this message board that you provide more support than anybody from there.

if the tourque dog does duration and timing then i wouldnt stack itif it was presure only then it would be ok,just remove it or have it on stock and try the pred on diferent tunes,i dont think you will need to stack anyway, the pred makes pretty good power by itself,if you load a rkl tune its plenty of power and using the higher hp tunes you should get some gauges to see whats hapening, the rkl tunes make the egts pretty hot,no i dont work for diablo, hahaha.ive just read lots and tried diferent things so i like to share a bit of info then i can.some people dog this product but ive had good luck with it and the price was right, for what i paid i cant complain,in fact i let my dad try it on his 03 6pd and he liked it so much he kept it and i had to get another one,hes had it on performance for almost a year and hes pretty happy.

so took out the BD just to be safe. hooked up the predator, load up the performance tune, run the truck and it runs good, but it feels just like the BD on the 90hp so no big deal there. so i'm trying now the xtreme, it runs much better, the only thing i don't like is all the smoke, i stepped on it and there was a white car next to me and all i could see thru my mirrow was a cloud of smoke right in front of that white car, i felt bad for those people. lol.
I'm gonna leave it on xtreme for awhile to see what the fuel mileage goes to.
thanks dave.
edit.. i got gauges, they are not listed on my sig. i got boost and egt, right now on xtreme the highest temp i've seen is 1200* so not bad.
boost on the other hand the highest i saw was 30psi, is that good? i though it'll be higher than that?

30 without a boost fooler or wastegate mod you won't get any better. I can get to about 42lbs now with the fooler. If you only get 1200* thats awesome. On performance I am at 1600* without any problem at wide open. Of course it comes back down when I take my foot out of it.

ya the pred doesnt do boost fooling,so you can block your wastgate to gain some more boost but you will get an overboost code without a boost fooler,is your probe pre or post turbo?1200 pre turbo is a great number,i get the best milage on the rkl tunes with timing, just cruising you barely have to touch the pedal.i found the rkl doesnt smoke as bad as the extreme, maybe the fueling comes on earlier on the extreme.congrats on your new toy

One question on the rkl tunes. I am not sure how to add one. do they overright one of the tunes already on the tool? Or does it actually hold 3? I have been so tempted to try the Rkl. I just need to do it. Taking a trip this weekend would be cool to try it one way and perf on the way back.

i have the egt guage at the manifold is that pre turbo? i guess.
RRAM i believe the predator can hold more than that, you can download it and i believe it goes to custom tune or something like that. you won't overwrite any of the stock ones.
i think i'll get the boost fooler later on, isn't it 42psi pushing the limit of the stock turbo?
later.

i would reinstall bully dog and run rkl stacker tunes with no timing added.
play around to see what makes the best power and remember that the higher the settings doesnt always equate to more performance.
the boost fooler for your truck - since mechanical wastegate - is just an $8 brass fitting that replaces the brass elbow between compressor side of turbo and hose to wastegate. instead of free flowing factory elbow the boost elbow has a restrictor built in so wastegate doesnt see as much boost. simply put, when the boost is at 30+ psi the wastegate still only sees 15 and wont close until 24+ so it hangs open.
2003 cummins has HX-35 turbo - after 25 psi and above 2500 rpm the drive pressures increase exponentially as well has temp of air inside compressor. in other words, the turbo is too small to make more than 25 psi very efficiently and adds more heat to the air than actual air quantity, even though the HX-35 is good for 35 psi + all day long. As well, drive pressure is the pressure measured in the exhaust manifold right before the turbine impeller; below 2500 rpm the turbo is very efficient, producing little lag and lots of mid-throttle boost; the drive pressure stays nearly 1:1, as the turbo can flow all of the air the motor is exhausting without restriction. above 2500 rpm though, the situation here deteriorates quickly, with egts climbing due to an increase in pressure in front of the turbo. The motor is producing more air than the impeller can make use of and that is why the factory turbo is our biggest hold back power wise

where do i buy the brass fitting? what size etc? i think i read somewhere about it but i didn't know it was for my truck. the bully dog its sold so can't do anything there anymore. but even bully dog reccomended me to just take it out and run the predator by itself. anyways its gone.
thanks.

thats not intirely true, just adding a boost elbow will not act as a boost fooler, the ecm will see the higher boost caused by the elbow and defuel and set a code, the elbow will allow you to get your wastegate to open later getting you more boost but will not trick the ecm, unless your gonna run the boost at 30 and above i wouldnt worry a bout a boost fooler, the only place i know to get the elbow is from a diesel performance shop, they are 1/4 inch by barbed fitting with a allen key yo adjust the flow,i just bought a 1/4 inch plug and stuck her in,i blocked the wasegate alltogheter,i think itts 1/4 it may be metric or somthing, how are you liking the pred so far?
