Cadillac ATS 2.0T Fuel Trims

Post by olineallthetime »

I've recently switched over from running the 93 tune to the 91 tune and am really surprised in how much better the 91 feels. That being said, I have started to look at how to optimize the canned tune. After reading Daiblew's posts and site where he talks about getting the fuel trim right, I wanted to see where my car is. So after logging the LTFT at cruise, I'm sitting right around 3.89%. I guess this isn't too bad but would like it to come down into the +/-2% zone.
Is this something I can do with the Trinity on the ATS? Do I use the PE adjustment points to do this and if so, how would those three provided points of adjustment be handled?

Thanks!

ATS is direct injected, unfortunately Lews post is out the window for the newer Di vehicles ;)

yeah you can't adjust the part throttle fueling.. the PE fueling is only for WOT (wide open throttle)...

So does this mean that the importance of the fuel trim number is no longer a factor in adjusting the tune? If it is, can and should that value be adjusted via CMR and to what benefit? I'm just looking to ensure that it's not running too rich or lean.

Thanks

Good questions.

I have a C7 with D.I. also and downloaded DSLogRedux as well.
After using the software (which is really a nice feature), I wanted to adjust my LTFTs which are -9%.
Come to find out from the forum leaders that we can't.

So, do we need to worry about LTFT with D.I.?
Maybe we could create a GM D.I. group that focuses on what we can and can't do with a Trinity?

Appreciate all you guys do.
Thanks,
