Need help and ideas for programming my 2004 GMC 4x4

I have a 2004 GMC seirra 1500 ext cab 4x4. it has a gibson super truck exhaust and a k&n intake with throttle body spacer. its runnig 285-70-17s with the 4.10to1 gears and has the 5.3 litre in it. I put in the normal tune with the tire change but its going not as i wanted. any help for programing it will help me get the tune i want without hurting it. thank you

What do you mean it is going not as you wanted?

I want the shifting to have more bite and more accelaration. the wide open is fine at cruising but from taking off the truck doesn't want to pwer up as quick.

Try disabling the first two parameters listed under torque management.

Thanks so much. the truck takes off like crazy now even for the tire size. Any other things I could try to help the engine run stronger?

will doing the injector slope help me at all?

yes... it will give you improved throttle response, quicker acceleration, and harder/stronger pulls...

after trying to figure out what every one has been talking about the injector issue do I even need to mess with the EP at all. I did negative 2 % just to feel if it helped. I could feel a differance but should I run it normal and read the diagnostics to set the slope that way? thanks

yes, you need to monitor the long term fuel trims for bank 1 and bank 2 and see what the average value is... then you'd make injector slope adjustments based on that average value number...

i.e. - if your average ltft's are at 2.xx, you would adjust your injector slope to -2%...

if they were at -2.xx, you would adjust your injector slope to +2%...
