I have a 2001 F-250 i bought a predator from one of my friends that had a 2002 f-250 he told me that he took the program off his old truck before he sold it and the programmer should work fine on mine but when i try to install a program the screen on the predator says that it's not licensed for that vehicle and will not install what might the problem be

It is still locked to the other truck.
Have him restore the original backup to his truck to unlock it.

well that's a problem he sold the truck that is was on is there any way that it could be reprogrammed so it could be used on my truck

then is there any way that i could use it and get some type of credit towards the purchase of a new one

ok i was able to locate the old truck and restored the origional backup on it but now the programmer will not save my origional backup off my truck so i can tune it it says that it is already programmed but i didnt program it what can i do
