any way to get a better launch out of 07 z71 tahoe

First I dont want to change the converter so dont recommend that. I have a z71 and it has 3.73 gears and factory tires still. Coldair intake, flowmaster cat back,ported stock mass air, msd plug wires and right now the 87 tune is in the truck. It is such a pig down low. Almost seems like it doesnt open the throttle all the way until 3 grand. My 2003 seemed to have alot more punch out of the hole but up top this one rips compared to the 03. Looking at getting shorty headers as I dont want to spend a ton on them and alot of companies have drop in available for it. I am sure this will help some. I know a good 2800 to 3200 stall would help a ton but I have a warranty I dont want to give up on the trans due to a after market converter. I work at the dealer and know what you can get away with and that is one thing you cant. I also havent messed with any other changes on the predator like injector slope and wanted to know if there is help there? I have a wide band o2 for my cars ( 92 383 formula and 355 96 formula both 11 sec cars) so can use that to get readings on the truck. It just seems awful flat below 3 grand and low on torque which arfe both signs of being rich. Looking to see what others have done and found useful.

your problem is Torque Management....not the gear ratio!

if you have a classic body style, turn off the first two setting off TM under "modify tune" if you have a new body style, you are shit outta luck...as there is no end user TM adjustment available....

also, let me know if you want some shorties....i know of a man selling some for fairly cheap.
they help a very small amount.
