I just got an intune i1000 from a guy, I plugged it into my computer and it says its up to date. I plug it into my truck (2001 gmc 2500 duramax) and a message comes up that says calibration update ready to install. I hit the green arrow and is says turn key on to connect to vehicle, I turn key on and it thinks for a while then says calibration update error. it just repeats this. any help greatly appreciated

It's also saying in recovery mode, not sure what that is. Any ideas?

yikes...please dont keep trying that.
Apparently this tool was used and not restored properly and its trying to load an update from other vehicle to your truck, if it is able to do it, things will not end well
Please connect it to a pc and post the info.xml file from the intune drive here so we can check it out.

Please give us a call when you can and have the device powered up, and tell the tech you need to reset it as you bought it used and its in calibration update recovery mode.
