The only thing add to truck is a K&N cold air kit. Will be running 87 oct. fuel. The truck seem like it had lost power after installing the cold air kit. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a tune already installed? If not, install the 87 octane tune.

In my experience, you need to remove 5% from the MAF curve for that CAI on your application.

I have the 87 octane tune installed. The truck still seems like it has lost power? It is almost like it is not getting enough fuel. All of the coils packs have be replaced , new plugs and also new injector. The truck was backfireing back through the intake under hard excel or while towing a load. The problem seemed to have been fixed after replacing all of these parts. But I did notice that the plugs where scorched. This make me think the motor is running to lean I have tried adding more fuel but this does not seem to help the power problem .

Rhogeland, I am having the same exact issue with the back fire under WOT and with a load. Somebody told me my cam phasers might be the issue-but I don't have the other symptoms of bad cam phasers. I am betting that the canned tunes don't take into account the extra air from a CAI. Posted the issue several times-we don't own mustangs

same truck and year by the way

Have you checked the plugs in you truck? The plugs in my truck scorched. After replacing the backfire problem when away. The problem now is the truck is down on power.
