lots of black smoke

i have a 2000 7.3 6sp i have the predator set on economy performance tune and when i press the pedal down half way it blows lots of smoke and when i press the the pedal down all the way and speed shift if will blow lots and lots of smoke is this NORMAL for such a low hp,tq setting
