2010 Ram 1500 Sport 5.7L Hemi tune issues

Post by LANZOIL »

Hi, I contacted tech support via the website with no response and the tech line had me on hold for over 20 minutes, so I am giving this a shot. This is the 5th i2 Tuner I have used and it is being installed on a Customer's 2010 Ram 1500 Sport. After opening the box, I connected the tuner to my desktop and ran the Updater which intstalled "Group Update".

When I went to tune the vehicle with the DiabloTune I adjusted parameters as per customer (tire size, throttle, speed limiter, etc) and once I got past the part where the ignition is turned on and off multiple times, the tuner went into a "safe" mode and had to reboot. It said "please wait" for about 3 minutes before "checking/verifying updates", and then it said the vehicle was not supported. I switched back to the OE tune and then tried just the DiabloTune without adjusting any parameters. The tune installed, but the truck then went into limp mode after startup. The throttle was barely responsive in park or neutral and the truck stalled out in gear. I again put the OE tune back and the truck was fine. I went back to the updater and it again appeared to be downloading the "GroupUpdate" file.

I wend through the above two more times with the same results. After the "GroupUpdate" file is loaded, and I run the updater again, it says the tuner is up to date. Please advise on what the issue is.

the lack of throttle is from using easy tune to disable the speed limiter, it is a bug we are fixing.
Please use the advanced menu and disable the speed limiter that way and it should work fine.

Thanks

Ok cool. I did the advanced tuning and did not mess with the speed limiter and it works fine now. Please advise when the bug is worked out. Thanks and regards,

You can disable the speed limiter in the advanced tune and it will work fine for you. The easy tune and advanced tune give you the same end result. Just with the easy tune there is a bug we are currently working on the fix for that causes a dead pedal if you disable the speed limiter. You can do all the same things in advanced tune as you would in easy tune.
