go to diablo, download the DS software and update your predator. There have probably been some updates to your calibration files from dodge and the unit has to update your car.

Thank You. I went there and down loaded the two updates. The newest and the older "more stable" also to my hard drive
Now I am going to radio shack to try to find the interface cable to computer hookup and PS.
I assume it will update from the hard drive as opposed to direct online, correct?

No - you need to update the vehicle before you can load a tune.

Read the instructions:

It did put the update into the preditor from the hard drive just fine. Next I took it out to the MSRT8 and hooked it up. The update went with out a hitch. Now it is ready to take the tune. I went with the 93 w CAI tune.
That went smooth too. I took it out to "the spot" I used my vector FX2
"G-Tech". With the old Jet Chip stage 2, I am accustomed to seeing 13.1- 13.2 & a 13.3 some, with a constant 105-105.9 mph.
I now am seeing 13.9, 13.8 and a 14.0 with a 101mph, 102mph and a 100mph. I think I need to adjust the tune some.
I did a 13.2@ 105.8 earlier today before the swap. Same place "the spot".
I am looking for a few tenths the other direction.
What shall I try? I guess the tune and the jet chip together is a no no huh?
I did pull the jet chip out and reset before the tune install.

I noticed also that it now seems to surge some at the 1st to 2nd shift. This is not hitting the rev limiter,I did not touch that, it just surges at the shift.

lose the jet chip, it does not help. I found taking some fuel out of the 93 tune helped alot

What did the update that allowed the MSRT8 to take the tune change?

trying to keep this active so I can get some input.need more specific on "fuel out" suggestion. I am hoping for getting the trap speed back and a little better ET. 13.9- 14.0 is really way worse than before. 13.1- 13.3 i thought would go to 13.0- 12.9 maybe

Do I maybe just need to tweek the shift point and maybe the rev limiter to allow for that? Maybe I should change the shift firmness too?? What about the fuell amount?? I know it will run better than this,,Much better. Give some input and I will try it. Do I make tweeks direct to the 93 tune or put the stock tune back first. AND what did the update change to allow for the performance tune to be accepted.

There is nothing in the tune that should have slowed you down that much, besides excess wheelspin.
You should not have to make any fueling changes with these tunes if the car is stock (or close to it).

Before attempting to remove fuel, you really should verify the WOT A/F ratio with a wideband.

Thanks

Thank you much for the response. Yes wheelspin could do it. I practice my launch and always ease into it the same way giving me a close ET. My trap speed is always really constant. The surgeing at the shift may have caused the lower time. My 0-60 was bad too. The 60ft was a little off. It is usually @2.1 and now is 2.2. Should I put the stock tune back and try it again with the 93 CAI reinstall with maybe an up in the shift point and firmness?
What did the update change thus allowing the install?
